Live improvisational avant-space journeyings from the Chill Dome at Fractal Fest 2017, Stephentown, NY

For the past handful of summers, Paul Eggleston and Kris Thompson have hauled their synths, theremins and assorted gadgets (and a gas-powered generator) into a Vermont forest to set up their theme camp at the Firefly arts festival. "Camp Astral Chill" is the late-night oasis where they (along with various collaborators) have unfurled many an evocative flight of inner-spatial drone dimensioneering. The cauldron of sound—mingling with the dance of laser insect simulations upon the encircling pine bowers overhead—has made for some unusually heady times.

'From Fractal Forest' sees the space-faring duo in a change of festival venue—this time spellcasting from the Chill Dome at Fractal Fest 2017.
